Taz and Bruce successfully completed the GNR this year. They both did a cracking job of it (says Trudi, who unfortunately had to pull out but did watch the race on the telly), and there's still plenty of time to visit the donations page and support them.

Well, a picture of one anyway :o). This is something we've been planning to do for the last 2 years but have been distracted by...well...just about everything really! Trudi has lots of pictures of people in bands on her website, bandsonstage, and will be selling these as limited edition prints with a nice fat chunk of the proceeds going to Cancer Research/Marie Curie. Expect to hear more about this nearer to Christmas!

Taz and Trudi will both be doing the run again this year. Expect angst-filled bloggage to follow shortly! :o)

This year the heroic efforts of Andy, Ruth and Chris raised over £2000 for Cancer Research - absolutely marvellarse, as Trace we're sure would have said! Their sponsorship page is still open (hint, hint!). Trudi and Taz are extremely proud of their fantastic effort, and pledge to have working limbs next year in order to join in.

We did it guys! We had a fantastic time at the Great North Run, and have emerged (virtually) intact. Both badgers have posted the events of the weekend from their perspective in the blog, and there are some stills from Trudi's camera to give you more of an idea of what it all looked like. It's not too late to sponsor us - our sponsorship page will remain open until December. We also made it onto the BBC website - see us both in our full daftness on the GNR costumes page.

As the Great North Run approaches, we can exclusively reveal just how stupid we're prepared to look.

Yup, this stupid. And that's just the headgear... balancing these on our heads and running at the same time is going to be interesting, to say the least - read more in our blog.

Written by the girls from Y*Yness, with a little help from their friends rock-star bassist Jason "The Producer" Knight on the organ (chortle chortle) and a special guest appearance from the one and only Mr Rick Steckles of Delayed Promise fame, the single was recorded last year and has been in the depths of their consciousness ever since until now, when it has burst onto your web page to fill your ears wth joy...

The UK is in the middle of a lovely heatwave, and what are we doing this week? Making running suits out of fur... The Great North Run is now only two and a half months away (eek!). We will soon be stepping up our fundraising efforts - our old online donation pages have now closed, and we'll be setting up a brand new one for the Great North Run. Watch this space for updates.
